The rumors about Selvin Mack being on the sights of Panathinaikos were confirmed by coach Giorgos Vovoras who was a guest in the COSMOTE TV weekly basketball show “Pick and Roll”.
Vovoras admitted that due to the COVID situation in Europe is sometimes hard to get a deal with a US player, however, it’s not a secret that Panathinaikos is on the market in order to replace Keifer Sykes who has already been released. Mack, who spend last season in Milan and finished it as a member of Hapoel Jerusalem is one of the candidates to get the job, as Vovoras confirmed.
“Yes, Mack is one of the players who we are looking at”, said Vovoras when asked on the matter and it remains to be seen if the Greens can get a deal with the player.
The 30-year-old point guard played for eight years in the NBA, having his best seasons between 2013 and 2016 with the Atlanta Hawks, before arriving in Europe last summer.
