Anadolu Efes center Bryant Dunston will be out for one month following an eye injury he suffered in the game vs. Olympiacos in Piraeus last week, coach Ergin Ataman revealed.
“Dunston won’t play for a month,” Ataman said in the post-game presser of Efes’ EuroLeague win over Maccabi Tel Aviv Thursday (5/11). “What has happened to him, hasn’t happened to anyone.” Last year his foot was burned, he didn’t play for five months. This year, he got a finger in his eye and his retina was ruptured.”
Efes won’t be looking to sign a player, at least for now. “Sertac is about to return, we expect negative tests from him. We aren’t considering a transfer, we’ll give this responsibility to Sertac. I hope there’ll be no other problems. If there is a problem, the club will do what’s necessary.”
