Panathinaikos was eyeing Shelvin Mack for a while and the sides have finally found an agreement. Panathinaikos made the deal official as of Saturday morning. The deal is for the next two months with, of course, the possibility of continuing together.

He comes in to fill the void left by Keifer Sykes who was also on a short-term deal and was replacing Pierre Jackson who got released early on in the season.

The 30-year-old American played for Hapoel Jerusalem and Olimpia Milano last season which was his first in Europe.

He played a total of 31 games with his best numbers coming from the Israeli League – 12.1 points, 3.6 boards, 2.1 assists in 23 minutes.

Prior to moving overseas, Mack played for the Wizards, Sixers, Hawks, Jazz, Magic, Grizzlies and the Hornets in the NBA as well as for the Red Claws in the G League. His best season was the 2015-16 one with the Jazz, averaging 12.7 points.
