Panathinaikos announced that guard Shelvin Mack has renewed his contract with the club for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. The former NBAer had joined Panathinaikos on a two-month deal in November.
Mack has averaged 9.1 points and 3.1 assists in 18:39 minutes over seven EuroLeague games in the season so far. He made his entrance with a pair of quite solid performances, an 18-point game vs. Anadolu Efes and a 15-point output on the road against Valencia.
Panathinaikos is facing Maccabi Tel Aviv Tuesday (22/12) for Round 16 of the EuroLeague regular season. Mack will be traveling with the team and is expected to make his return after missing the previous EuroLeague match of his team, a win over Alba Berlin, due to an ankle sprain.
