Dejan Radonjic will replace Sasha Obradovic as the head coach of Crvena Zvezda mts as his agent Misko Raznatovic announced via Twitter. The team announced that they officially parted ways with Obradovic and the official confirmation about Radonjic is expected soon.
Radonjic, 50, was in charge at the Serbian powerhouse between 2013 and 2017. He moved on to FC Bayern Munich and parted ways with the German club last January.
Obradovic, 51, on his own comeback for the first time as a head coach guided Red Star to a 5-11 start in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague off a disappointing recent 1-6 stretch. At the ABA League, the team is 9-1.
By confirming his departure, Crvena Zvezda became the first EuroLeague side opting for a head coaching change this season.
