We’ve waited for Shane Larkin to deliver big time for quite some time now. Truth be told, he hadn’t produced enough and we were forced to remove him from our Fantasy team since he was coming off two games in which he gave 2 and… 0 Fantasy points. This is why his Fantasy price took a free fall.
Last week though, Larkin reminded us of the guy who was dominating the EuroLeague in 2019-2020, with a performance of 37 PIR in the win of Anadolu Efes over Barcelona. Despite this game, Larkin’s price hasn’t become particularly costly and you can now get him with just 1.76, which is definitely not a lot for a player of his quality.
If you can’t afford to acquire an exprensive guard like Mike James, Alexeh Shved, Scottie Wilbekin or Nemanja Nedovic, then you should go for the golden opportunity to get Larkin. Especially considering the fact that you may not be able to add him so easily in the future if he continues like that.
The Livio Jean-Charles choice
Jean-Charles comes off two solid performances in the last three games, finishing the match with Valencia with 22 in PIR and the one vs. Fenerbahce with 18. And he comes at a highly affordable price of 0.98 credits… which is close to “free” considering what he can provide.
Giorgos Printezis is coming back for Olympiacos but this may not seriously affect Jean-Charles’ minutes. In the absence of Kostas Papanikolaou, Olympiacos coach Giorgos Bartzokas can use Sasha Vezenkov (who has been in pretty good form and is a fine Fantasy choice as well) as a “3”. So Jean-Charles may spend a sufficient amount of time on the court as a “4” or “5” given that center Octavius Ellis comes off an injury.
Jean-Charles may not exactly be consistent but is cheap and, at the end of the day, has shown that can easily finish a game with a PIR around 20.
