Straight off a solid Turkish Airlines EuroLeague outing against AX Armani Exchange Milan, Daniel Hackett suffered an ankle injury in VTB United League action and will miss the next games, CSKA Moscow announced Monday.
Hackett, 33, will be out for Thursday’s EuroLeague Regular Season Round 18 away match versus TD Systems Baskonia. Zalgiris Kaunas and FC Barcelona will visit CSKA next week. Further tests are expected to determine a specific timetable regarding his return to action.
The experienced guard posted 9.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steals per game over his first 13 appearances in Europe’s premier club continental competition this season. He also packs 6.9 points, 2.8 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per VTB contest.
The Russian powerhouse leads the EuroLeague standings thanks to a 14-3 record. A 9-2 tally is good enough for second place behind Zenit Saint-Petersburg in the VTB table.
