Panathinaikos OPAP announced that the club has parted ways with coach Georgios Vovoras.
Vovoras, 43, was appointed head coach to start the 2020-21 season. He previously served as an interim head coach in four separate stints.
Under his guidance this season, Panathinaikos is 5-11 in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7-1 at the domestic level. Sunday’s loss to Lavrio Megabolt will mark his last game.
Per Panathinaikos:
We warmly thank George for the valuable services he offered to the Association all these years, during which he was a member of our family. We wish him every success in the continuation of his career.
