Real Madrid announced that the team signed center Alex Tyus for the rest of 2020-21. The American former EuroLeague champion returns to the competition for the first time since 2019 and will make his debut in the Spanish ACB League.
Tyus last played inTurkey with Galatasaray. He averaged 8.3 points, 4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in three Basketball Champions League games before leaving the Turkish side to join Real Madrid.
In 2014, Tyus won the EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He had one of his most memorable games in his EuroLeague career in the championship game against Real Madrid, where he posted 12 points and 11 rebounds to help Maccabi win the title.
