After a couple of NBA seasons, Dzanan Musa returns to Europe inking a deal with Anadolu Efes up to 2023, the Turkish powerhouse announced Wednesday.
Musa, 21, made 54 NBA appearances with the Brooklyn Nets during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Prior to the start of the 2020-21 season, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons and subsequently waived.
Prior to his NBA jump, the Bosnian guard/forward competed in ten Turkish Airlines EuroLeague matches as a Cedevita youngster. He made his debut a few months after his 16th birthday.
In 2018, he was selected in the NBA draft with the 29th overall pick by the Nets. He then departed from the Croatian club since merged with Olimpija to form Cedevita Olimpija.
He meets his new team tied for ninth place in the EuroLeague standings off a 10-9 tally. The Turkish club guided by Ergin Ataman is currently half a win outside of the playoffs zone. A perfect 15-0 record paints the picture of its domestic run so far.
