CSKA Moscow center Nikola Milutinov will have to undergo surgery following a shoulder injury he suffered in the game of his team against Bayern Munich (30/1) and will most likely be out for the remainder of the season.
Milutinov, the EuroLeague December MVP, got hurt on his right shoulder near the end of the first half but decided to return to the game to help CSKA get the win. The MRI that the Serbian big man underwent revealed a muscle injury that will require a surgical operation.
In 2020-2021 and his debut season with CSKA, Milutinov was averaging 9.8 points and a career-high 8.6 rebounds in 23:32 minutes. In December, he grabbed 16 offensive rebounds in a road win over Olimpia Milano setting a new EuroLeague all-time record.
CSKA also confirmed that Milutinov will miss the rest of the season via an official announcement.
