Olimpia Milano is adding center Jakub Wojciechowski as reported by La Repubblica’s Fabrizio Lorenzi and confirmed by Eurohoops. The Polish big man holds Italian citizenship after joining Benetton Treviso academies as a teenager and then spending most of his pro career in the country.
The acquisition of Wojciechowski will help Milano have some frontline depth ahead of the Italian Cup. The team was looking for a big man who wouldn’t occupy a foreign player’s spot on the roster given the injuries of Jeff Brooks and Paul Biligha.
Wojciechowski last played with Biela, averaging 10.3 points and 7.4 rebounds in the Italian Second Division.
