Anton Ponkrashov returns to EuroLeague.

Khimk Moscow signed veteran guard Anton Ponkrashov for the rest of the season, the Russian club announced. The player had previously played with Khimki in 2007 – 2009 while on loan from CSKA Moscow.

Ponkrashov, 34, last played for Zenit St. Petersburg in 2019-2020. The Russian guard averaged 2.5 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 11:37 minutes over 22 EuroLeague games, plus 5.8 points, 2.3 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 16:02 minutes over 17 matches of the VTB League.

“When the offer was received, I agreed without hesitation,” Ponkrashov said per Khimki. “Times are difficult, but I rely on work, because only hard work can fix the situation and make us start winning. The main things is complete dedication.”
