Euroleague Basketball updated the list of rescheduled games planning the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 23 affair featuring Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv at home versus Anadolu Efes for March 16. The match did not take place according to the original schedule as the visiting team was unable to travel to Israel due to restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic.
Per the press release: “Following the ECA Shareholders approval of the modification proposal presented by Euroleague Basketball of the COVID-19 Special regulations, the following games have been rescheduled to be played on the stated new dates and times:
ROUND 5
Zenit St Petersburg vs. AX Armani Exchange Milan, February 22, 2021, at 20:00 Local Time, 18:00 CET.
ROUND 23
Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv vs Anadolu Efes Istanbul, March, 16 2021 at 19:30 Local Time, 18:30 CET
ROUND 24
Zalgiris Kaunas vs. Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade, February 23, 2021, at 20:00 local time, 19:00 CET.
Euroleague Basketball has evaluated with all affected teams the best possible options to reschedule each game based on available dates and TV rightsholders’ production availability. The rescheduling of the rest of the suspended games will be announced in the following days.”
The remaining suspended games pending new dates are Maccabi Tel Aviv hosting Khimki Moscow Region and Panathinaikos OPAP visiting Zenit Saint-Petersburg and CSKA Moscow.
