Khimki Moscow Region has been in talks with Andrey Vorontsevich and is waiting for the player’s final decision, according to RIA Novosti.
“Negotiations were held with Vorontsevich. Andrei said he would answer “yes” or “no” after the matches of the national team,” Khimki CEO Pavel Astakhov said regarding the Russian outlet’s info.
On February 19-21, the Russian national team will play in Perm the qualification matches for EuroBasket against North Macedonia and Estonia.
Vorontsevich spent 14 years with CSKA Moscow (2006-2020) winning three EuroLeague titles as well as eight VTB League trophies. He left the club in July 2020 and has only played for the national team this season.
