Baskonia and forward Achille Polonara, one of the most pleasant surprises of the current season, are close to penning a contract extension, according to reports by SER Vitoria.
The same report also mentions that the agreement will be valid for two seasons (until 2023) with the option of one more if certain objectives are met.
The 29-year-old Italian is also expected to see his salary increase with this new deal, after averaging 11.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and a PIR of 15.3 in 27 games for Baskonia in the Euroleague so far in the season.
