Basketball in the modern era requires making more and more three-pointers, and the average Turkish Airlines EuroLeague team shoots 23.6 per game. But not every team nor every player shoots them in the same way. Eurohoops presents the top players of the season from behind the 6.75-meter line.

To make it even more interesting, we set the limit at 4 attempts per game. But in order not to wrong the rest of the players – like Kyle Kuric of FC Barcelona, who makes a league-leading 58.5% of his threes – you can see each player’s place on the overall ranking in the bracket next to his three-point percentage.

#10 MARCUS ERIKSSON
ALBA Berlin | Guard | 5 December 1993 | Sweden

In ALBA Berlin’s 81-100 win in Round 28 win over Khimki Moscow Region at Arena Mytishchi, Marcus Eriksson (12.1 points) tied the EuroLeague’s all-time, single-game record for made three-pointers. His 10-for-13 show that night is no coincidence for a player of Eriksson’s talent considering that he ranks seventh in attempts per game and sixth in makes from the arc.

#9 KLEMEN PREPELIC
Valencia Basket | Guard | 20 October 1992 | Slovenia

Klemen Prepelic (11.7 points) ranks ninth in the EuroLeague in three-point attempts per game, but with a career-high 41% of them going in, who wouldn’t do the same in his place? He has made 4 of 6 triples in three of Valencia Basket’s games and reached 5 of 13 in the team’s 105-103 overtime win against CSKA Moscow at La Fonteta.

#8 KOSTAS SLOUKAS
Olympiacos Piraeus | Guard | 15 January 1990 | Greece

Kostas Sloukas is one of the top players in the EuroLeague in assists (6.0), but he can set up shots for himself just as easily (11.5 points). He just downed 4 of his 6 three-point tries in Olympiacos Piraeus’s 80-84 win at ALBA’s Mercedes-Benz Arena in Round 30, but he has also reached 5-for-7 accuracy twice.

vezenkov

#7 SASHA VEZENKOV
Olympiacos Piraeus | Forward | 6 August 1995 | Greece

Sasha Vezenkov (10.4 points) scored a career-high 31 points in that same Olympiacos win against ALBA in Round 30, confirming once again that this is the best season of his career. In Berlin, 18 of his points came from Vezenkov hitting 6 of 7 three-pointers with the characteristic high arc he puts on his shot.

#6 JAYCEE CARROLL
Real Madrid | Guard | 16 April 1983 | USA

Jaycee Carroll (10.0 points) doesn’t need any recommendations when it comes to his ability from behind the 6.75-meter line. And if he did, rival defenses would provide them. He’s just the 10th player in the history of the EuroLeague with 1,000 or more three-point attempts (1,012, with a career accuracy rate of 42.4%), and he made 5 of 9 in Round 27 despite Real Madrid‘s 78-77 road loss to Khimki.

#5 VLADIMIR LUCIC
FC Bayern Munich | Forward | 17 June 1989 | Serbia

This season is the best of Vladimir Lucic’s career in terms of scoring (13.7 points), and it’s not by chance that he is also shooting from deep more than ever. Indeed, he has launched nearly 60% more threes so far than in the next-highest of his previous seven EuroLeague seasons. Lucic hit a career-high 4 of 5 from downtown among 26 points in Bayern’s 82-85 road win against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv back in Round 3.
