Olimpia Milano coach Ettore Messina used a rather colorful expression to describe Pierria Henry’s performance in the win of Baskonia over the Italian team.
“Are you taking me as a fool? He [Henry] has broken our asses and you ask me that question?” was Messina’s reaction when asked how much damage did Henry make in the second half of the match. The Baskonia guard scored 15 out of his game-high 19 points after halftime while also notching six assists and five rebounds.
“What damage did Henry do to us? Do you think that I reached 60 years to answer this joke?” Messina continued, while addressing the reporter who made the question. “He’s broken our ass. Or… do you want me to give you a percentage? What kind of question is that? Please.”
Baskonia took a crucial victory in its pursuit for a spot in the playoffs and is now 17 – 14 and tied at the eighth place with Zenit St. Petersburg and Valencia. Milano is fourth with a 19 – 12 record, same as Bayern Munich and Fenerbahce Beko.
