Thomas Walkup has been offered a contract extension by Zalgiris Kaunas, but also has offers from Olympiacos and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, according to Donatas Urbonas of 15min.lt. The report notes advanced negotiations that soon can result in a final decision.
Walkup, 28, is coming off his third Turkish Airlines EuroLeague campaign attached to the Lithuanian powerhouse. He averaged 8.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per appearance in his 2020-21 campaign.
The American guard nearing the end of his current contract hits the market pretty early following a solid season in Europe’s premier continental club competition.
