The fan-voting portion of the 2020-21 All-EuroLeague teams is live, as announced by Euroleague Basketball on Wednesday.
The fans share an equal part with media, head coaches, and captains’ votes in determining the All-EuroLeague selections of the season.
Per the press release: “With the most balanced Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season ever played behind us and the always-dramatic playoffs underway, the time has come to decide who among many great protagonists are most deserving of individual recognition.
As always, the competition’s devoted fans will speak first on that question by casting their ballots for the All-EuroLeague First and Second Teams as well as the MVP!
Starting now, the polls are open for you to choose the players who impressed you the most during a season that couldn’t have been more competitive, so cast your vote right away!
What’s more, five voters will be chosen at random to receive a EuroLeague TV pass.
The fan vote for the All-EuroLeague Team, presented by 7DAYS, will have a direct impact on the final outcome of the awards. This year, two new categories of voters have been introduced, the head coach and team captains for each of the 18 participating teams. Media, fans, head coaches’ and captains’ ballots will each count for 25% of the totals used to determine the All-EuroLeague selections.
Upon the completion of all voting, the player with the most votes will become this season’s MVP. He and the next four top vote-getters will comprise the All-EuroLeague First Team and the next five will make up the All-EuroLeague Second Team.
Voters are encouraged to base their selections on players’ performances for the entire 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.
