Jordan Loyd was the latest guest on Crvena Zvezda‘s official podcast and spoke about his future, while he highlighted that he will explore any options he has in the summer and sets the NBA as his priority if the opportunity occurs.
“People ask me “where are you gonna be next year?”. I mean… I get messages every day, but I take it day by day because you never know what’s coming to you. I wish I could give people an answer. I’m just going to explore every option in the summer and go from there”, tells Loyd.
“[The NBA option] is always open, because as I said, it’s always been a dream goal of mine. I can contribute at their level. If you are in the conversation, obviously you can play, but it’s also about a team taking their chance on you and giving you the opportunity. I always leave the door open, but if you have a good choice in Europe, I’m smart enough to say ‘you don’t pass something good [In Europe] as well”, Loyd explains.
“No matter how much you wanna be home… You miss home a lot, you miss people, but you only play for so long. You gotta take advantage of it, whether be it Europe, the NBA. I know guys sitting in the G-League sitting for 5-6 years and it pays off. So, to each their own. I leave the door open. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t I’m not sitting around and waiting for it to happen, but it’s obviously my priority any time it happens”
