EuroLeague Fantasy investments in Guduric, Garuba

Game 3 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague best-of-five playoffs series are coming up, stretched from Tuesday to Wednesday. We dive into the reduced field of players available, in time for our tips. Marko Guduric and Usman Garuba jumped out as the investments with the most upside.

Guduric, 26, is coming off his 27 PIR in Game 2 of the series between undermanned Fenerbahce Beko and CSKA Moscow. He was a massive boost for fantasy players carrying him last week. His addition made sense. We are hoping for an encore.

Back from his NBA run, he got off to a hot start but slowed down further in the 2020-21 season. As a result, his fantasy price dropped to 1.28. He can be used in four different positions, an added bonus. Remaining in action through the injury and COVID-19 issues of his side, potential returns of sidelined teammates are not likely to affect his playing time.

Garuba, 19, Real Madrid’s wonderkid, has been labeled as a starter by Pablo Laso. His ability to contribute from positions 3 to 5 makes him a valuable asset. He isn’t considered a Fantasy giant, but Walter Tavares being a game-time decision ahead of the third clash with Anadolu Efes, creates the potential for additional playing time in Game 3.

In Game 2, with Tavares out, the youngster produced 16 PIR. Garuba costs only 0.82 units. His addition is a safe bet, even if his teammate ultimately gets cleared to return to action.
