Pau Gasol discussed his current condition and FC Barcelona preparing for Game 4 of the best-of-five series versus Zenit Saint-Petersburg. The top-seed of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs, up 2-1 in the series, faces the Russian outlet tomorrow, Friday.
“This is a dangerous team with talented players able to take advantage of any mistake on our side,” he mentioned describing Zenit, “We must stay focused through this key game.”
Gasol, 40, has averaged 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds per appearance in the series.
“I am adjusting well considering the important part of the season and coming in to provide as much as possible,” he pointed out, “Being patient and positive and always putting the team first. When I can contribute, I will.”
The Spanish big returned to Spain and Barca aiming to help his first pro team achieve its high goals in both EuroLeague and the ACB. He has been steadily improving according to the initial plan.
“I am feeling better, with better rhythm and stronger. I am happy with the response of my body and especially of my foot,” he confirmed, “I want to do more but I understand the situation. There are a few weeks left in the season and two extremely important titles in the balance. That is what we are working on.”
