Zalgiris Kaunas is in advanced talks with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg guard Jaleen Smith according to Donatas Urbonas.
Smith has been one of the standout players this season in Germany. He has been averaging 16.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists, leading Ludwigsburg to a 28 – 2 and the first place in the BBL standings.
A potential deal with Zalgiris will give Smith the opportunity to compete in EuroLeague for the first time in his career. The American guard has been playing with Ludwigsburg for two years and was previously a member of German Second Division team Heidelberg.
