Former EuroLeague champion and Greek NT great Sofoklis Schortsanitis was the latest guest on Joe Arlauckas’ “The Crossover”, in which he walked through some of his career’s highlights, as well as life after retirement from professional basketball.
Big Sofo, or else “Baby Shaq” also reminiscents of the time when he had to face Shaquille O’Neal on the court, and the comments of his former Olympiacos teammate, Josh Childress.
“Josh Childress was messing with me,” Schortsanitis says. “The minute I got the ball in the post, he’s like: ‘Yeah Sofo. Show him who’s the baby now!’ I’m like, ‘Don’t say that!’ I was so nervous. And then I heard Shaq behind saying, ‘Yeah. Show me.'”
