The Bucks want to sign Maccabi’s Elijah Bryant for the rest of the season

Elijah Bryant may leave Maccabi Tel Aviv and join the Milwaukee Bucks, however as Eurohoops sources confirmed despite the interest, the possible transfer is not a simple affair.

The player doesn’t have a buyout clause on his contract with the Israeli club and his side will have to negotiate his departure for the Bucks who want to add the guard immediately. The Easter Conference contender can spend up to 750k for the buy-out, without taking a hit to the salary cap.

It should be noted that Maccabi, after not advancing to the EuroLeague playoffs, is on the hunt for the domestic titles and Bryant is an important piece which they’re not willing to give up easily as it will be hard to replace him at this point in the season.

The 26-year-old American played 51 games this season so far with Maccabi in the Israeli League and EuroLeague, averaging 11 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists.

Roi Cohen and Emiliano Carchia first reported the Bucks’ interest in the player.
