Tyler Cavanaugh is expected to be the first summer addition for Zalgiris Kaunas. According to Eurohoops sources, the Lithuanian club is ready to sign the 27 years old forward, who is a familiar face for coach Martin Schiller.
Schiller coached Cavanaugh in the Salt Lake City Stars, just before the player moved to Europe, winning the German championship title with ALBA Berlin and then signing with Iberostar Tenerife.
Cavanaugh went undrafted in 2017 but had signed a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks which eventually was transformed into a two-year deal.
The player was eventually waived in May 2018, but in August, he signed another two-way contract with the Utah Jazz. He appeared in 11 NBA games with Utah and played under coach Schiller n the G-League.
The deal between the two sides is expected to be a one-year contract.
