Trey Thompkins had an arthroscopy on his left knee on Thursday, Real Madrid announced.
Thompkins, 30, is not expected to be back in action this season. He will begin the recovery process within the next few days.
He appeared in 38 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games this season helping the Whites advance to the Playoffs with 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per contest. He also put up 9.5 points per ACB game.
His side, after being finishing its campaign in the 2020-21 edition of EuroLeague has turned its focus to the Spanish league. At 32-2 and with two Regular Season games left, Madrid needs one more win to secure the first seed of the playoffs.
