Kyle Hines didn’t win one more EuroLeague title, this time with AX Armani Exchange Milan, but he entered the Final Four with a record for appearances and he ended it with being the all-time leader in blocks in the EuroLeague Final Fours.
Kyle Hines 16, surpassing Ekpe Udoh and Maceo Baston with 15. However, Hines was more than stoic and used dry humour when asked about his record: “It just proves that I am getting old and I have been here for a long time”.
He is not lying, since Hines has appeared on 18 EuroLeague Final Four games, a record for a US-born player, while Udoh needed just four games and Baston has six games under his belt.
His teammate, Sergio Rodriguez, also climbed the all-time ladder of passers, being second in assists in the Final Four history with 56, leaving behind his Sergio Llull with 54. EuroLeague legend Theo Papaloukas remains on the top with 59 assists.
