After being one of EuroLeague’s most reliable defenders for years, Bryant Dunston was able to lift his first-ever trophy with Anadolu Efes, on his sixth season with the club.
“I was dreaming of it. I’ve worked hard to make it happen. So many years that it didn’t happen, last year when it almost happened but the pandemic cut it short, it’s really great to have it work out for us. The amount of work that all of us put together with the guys, we sacrificed for each other, we gave up so much for each other to play as a team and it worked out for us. I’m so happy”, Dunston told Eurohoops after Efes‘ big win.
His teammate, Vasilije Micic, has already started the “preparations” for the “Balkan way” of celebrating and Dunston is following suit and will stay up all night to celebrate this special trophy for him and his team, as he mentioned.
“I’m lost for words right now. Sleep is not happening tonight, I’ll be up all night! Tomorrow I’m gonna catch a nap or something, but I’m not gonna sleep tonight!”
