Jordan Loyd has been stealing the spotlight throughout his stay with Crvena Zvezda and a number of clubs have gained interest in bringing him over.
According to Mozzart sport, Zenit Saint Petersburg is one of them and the two sides are already in negotiations to join forces at the end of the season. The report also noted the earlier interests shown by Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiacos.
After an NBA run with the Raptors, Loyd moved to Europe where he had a one-year stint with Valencia in 2019-20 after which he signed with Zvezda for this season.
The American guard had a great start to the season, putting his name among the MVP candidates early on, as the leading scorer of the competition. However, he somewhat slowed down afterward due to coronavirus issues, as well as the coaching changes in Crvena Zvezda.
He played 29 games in EuroLeague, averaging 17.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.
