Zeljko Obradovic said that he will decide on whether he will return to coaching next season and the team that he may make his possible comeback with in 20 days. The most decorated coach in the history of European basketball took a one-year hiatus after parting ways with Fenerbahce Beko last summer.
“The idea is for me to return, and we will see if anyone will remember coach Zeljko Obradovic,” Zoc said to the “360 degrees” show of Serbian N1. “I rested, recharged my batteries, and some important private things happened. What matters most to me is motivation. I can’t work without it. If you don’t proceed with the idea of working hard and being better, then you better not do anything.”
“There is no doubt that Partizan is a club that I love,” Obradovic said in regards to rumors about joining Partizan. “I spent my playing and coaching years there. Partizan and Borac are two clubs in my heart. I will make a decision on where and if I will continue to work by the end of the month. Of course, in agreement with my family and some people whose opinion is very important to me. I did not negotiate with anyone. I have a man who is in charge of that, so then my next move is to meet with that club. It is far from having had that situation. I don’t want to be unfair to people and take their time. We’ll know in about twenty days. “
