Zenit St. Peterburg signed center Arturas Gudaitis to a two-year extension, the Russian club announced.
“Arturas spent an excellent season with Zenit, most of it as the team’s main center,” Zenit General Director Alexander Tserkovny said. “It’s a pity that a sudden injury didn’t allow him to help us in the decisive playoff games. We had a valid contract for one more season, but we decided to prolong our cooperation.”
Gudaitis averaged 9.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in EuroLeague to help Zenit reach the playoffs for the first time in the history of the club. He had 11.1 points and 4.6 rebounds in VTB League where Zenit finished the regular season at the top of the standings.
