CSKA Moscow has started working on the squad for the upcoming season and there will be some changes to it. For starters, Darrun Hilliard won’t be a part of the team going forward, the club announced, while the Russian powerhouse also confirmed that Nikita Kurbanov has signed a new 1+1 deal.
“CSKA is my team, which helped me to become who I am, to win many titles. I feel responsible for my home club and I am glad that I remain useful to it. I am sure that next year we will be strong again, we will again go on the path to titles,” Kurbanov said.
The Army men went on to the third spot in EuroLeague this past season and to win the VTB League. Hilliard averaged 9.4 points, two rebounds, and 1.2 assists for the season over 64 games while Kurbanov logged 4.7, 3.1, and 1.2 over 73 games.
