Fenerbahce BEKO announced that the team has reached an agreement with Ismet Akpinar for the upcoming season.
“I’ll wear this jersey with a huge pride and give everything possible to merit these colors. Anyone who knows me a little bit knows how important it is to me. This is a childhood dream-come-true for me,” Akpinar said.
The 26-year-old guard spent the 2020-21 campaign with Bahcesehir and played 29 games in the BSL, with an average of 10.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists, with a 40.6% accuracy from the three-point line across 22 minutes on the court.
Fener has been very busy this summer with plans on making heavy changes to the roster. The team has kept Dyshawn Pierre while adding Devin Booker and Marial Shayok and are in advanced talks with Pierria Henry. They’ve also shown interest in Pierria Henry while also parting ways with Edgaras Ulanovas.
