Real Madrid and coach Pablo Laso have reached an agreement on a contract extension and the club announced that they penned a deal until the summer of 2023.
Laso has been coaching Real Madrid for the past decade and, under his leadership, the team has won a total of 20 titles (5 Spanish Leagues, 6 Spanish Cups, 6 Super Cups, 2 EuroLeagues, and 1 Intercontinental). The team reached 28 finals in the 38 official tournaments played.
This past season, the Whites reached EuroLeague playoffs with a 20-14 record as the sixth-placed but got eliminated by Anadolu Efes, which went on to win the trophy, in a tough five-game series.
On the domestic front, they reached the Finals in the Spanish Liga Endesa, losing to Barcelona 2-0. The team was at the top of the standings in the regular season with a 34-2 record.
