Following the offer from Olympiacos, AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano has also made a bid for Dinos Mitoglou, according to Eurohoops sources. Panathinaikos OPAP hoping to retain the 25-year-old Greek forward and have also presented their offer.
Mitoglou, 25, prefers to sign a two-year deal as a free agent but is open for a third-season option if he remains at his current team. Aiming for an NBA opportunity in the future leads him to a short-term contract.
While he is currently focused on the training camp of the Greek national team, he is expected to consider the offers on the table after the ongoing Acropolis International Tournament. Greece is preparing for the approaching Olympic Qualifying Tournament at Victoria, Canada.
The former player of Wake Forest is coming off his fourth Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season with Panathinaikos. He put up 9.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per 2020-21 appearance. His strong showings and significant upside potential have made him an attractive target for several teams.
