Bayern made a big and somewhat unexpected run in EuroLeague this past season with Andrea Trinchieri at the helm and the Italian expert will try to repeat it as the two sides have reached an agreement on an extension until 2023, the club announced.
The German team reached the EuroLeague quarterfinals, after winning 21 games in the regular season, but got eliminated by Olimpia Milano in a very close five-game series. On the domestic front, Trinchieri led the squad to the German Cup trophy, however, they couldn’t complete the German League with a title as well, falling to Alba Berlin in the Finals.
“I’m just happy to be back soon! The next season will be a huge challenge for all of us, but hopefully we will have the fans back in the hall, that should give us a big boost. It is clear that I would like to have every player from last season back, but we all know that it will be very difficult to realize,” the coach said.
