Barcelona announced that the team has reached a five-year extension agreement with Alex Abrines that ends in the summer of 2026.
Abrines played for Barca (2012-16) prior to his move to the NBA and has returned to the club after deciding to leave the US in 2019. He has two Spanish league titles and two Spanish Cups under his belt as a member of the team.
He played a total of 404 games in Barca’s jersey and will become one of the players with the most games in club history after the new deal, entering the Top 10 already this upcoming season.
In the 2020-21 campaign, Abrines averaged 7.8 points (43.5% from deep) and 2.8 rebounds in 19 minutes per game in the Spanish Liga Endesa and 6.1 points (42% from deep) in 18 minutes in EuroLeague.
