FC Bayern Munich penned Andreas Obst to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday.
“It is a great honor for me to play for FC Bayern,” he noted, per the press release, “I have known Andrea (Trinchieri) and Daniele (Baiesi) for years, they helped me in my first steps as a professional. Now I will have the opportunity to play in the EuroLeague for the first time. This played a major role in my decision.”
Obst, 24, was promoted to the senior squad of Brose Bamberg for his first pro stint back in 2014. He will reunite with Andrea Trinchieri and Daniele Baiesi, then working at Bamberg.
The German guard is coming off a two-year run with ratiopharm Ulm. He posted 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per 7DAYS EuroCup match, and 13.6 points per easyCredit BBL game last season.
Trinchieri’s side, preparing for the upcoming edition of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, previously added Ognjen Jaramaz for the next three seasons.
