UNICS Kazan penned Artem Komolov to a contract for the next season with an option for one more season, the Russian team announced Thursday.
Komolov, 28, is coming off a four-year stint at Nizhny Novgorod playing in both the Basketball Champions League and the VTB United League. He previously earned 7DAYS EuroCup experience as a rookie attached to Zenit Saint-Petersburg.
He averaged 11.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.9 steals per match in his latest BCL campaign. His VTB efforts resulted in 11.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per contest.
The Turkish Airlines EuroLeague will be the next step for the Russian guard. His new team earned a spot in the competition by making it to the EuroCup Finals last season.
The previous offseason addition for UNICS landed guard Vyacheslav Zaytsev, while both Isaiah Canaan and John Brown have extended their contracts.
