Per EuroLeague:
LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne added fire power to its roster by inking combo guard Elie Okobo to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Okobo (1.91 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Long Island of the G League, where he averaged 8.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists in 14 games last season. He started his career with JSA Bordeaux Basket and Elan Bearnais Pau-Lacq-Orthez of his native France. Okobo also played for Phoenix of the NBA and Arizona of the G League, and has also been a member of the French national team. “He is a player that we have followed for many years, and whose game has always appealed to us,” ASVEL president Tony Parker said after the agreement. “Seeing him leave the United States and choose our club to return to France is another strong sign, that our project makes sense and speaks to French players who want to be involved.”
