Baskonia signed Wade Baldwin IV for the 2021-22 season, the team announced Saturday.
His previous team, FC Bayern Munich was hoping to retain him and presented him an improved offer, as reported by Eurohoops. However, the Vanderbilt alumni opted to move his talents to Spain. The German side remains the frontrunner to secure Darun Hilliard’s services.
Baldwin, 25, is heading to his third straight season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague following his debut with Olympiacos and then Bayern. He upped his averages to 15.3 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per appearance in his second campaign.
Matt Costello, Vanja Marinkovic, and Simone Fontecchio make out the list of previous summer additions for Baskonia.
