Panathinaikos has signed a 1+1 deal with forward Okaro White, the club announced Wednesday.
White, 29, spent the previous season with UNICS Kazan in the VTB League, with which he posted an average of 9.9 points, 5.0 rebounds across 18 games, as the team made it to the finals against CSKA Moscow.
His numbers went up to 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds in 7DAYS EuroCup, as he was one of UNICS’ leaders this past season, helping the Russian club punch a ticket for the 2021-22 EuroLeague campaign.
White played college ball in Florida State from 2010 to 2014, and he made his pro debut in Europe that same year with Virtus Bologna of Italy. He also played in the NBA since then with the Miami Heat and the Washington Wizards before moving to Russia to join UNICS.
Now he is set to make his EuroLeague debut with the Greens this upcoming season.
