Zenit St. Petersburg will be organizing the 2021 edition of the historic “Vladimir Kondrashin and Sergey Belov Cup” preseason tournament on 3 and 4 September. The tournament is once again held this season after a three-year break.
Apart from host Zenit, CSKA Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and Parma will also participate in the event. The tournament is named after Vladimir Kondrashin and Sergey Belov, two legendary figures of Soviet and Russian basketball, and was established in 1979.
“-It is a great honor and great responsibility for us to hold a tournament of such status and importance,” Zenit general manager Alexander Tserkovny said, per the club. “Zenit will do everything necessary to ensure that everything will be done at the highest level and the Kondrashin – Belov Cup will once again become an annual event. Let’s hope that the epidemiological situation will allow fans to be present at the matches.”
