Yovel Zoosman has signed a three-year contract to join ALBA Berlin, the team announced Friday.
Zoosman, 23, is coming off a lengthy stay at Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv covering most of his professional career. Last season, he registered 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per Turkish Airlines EuroLeague match, plus 8.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in Israel’s Winner League.
“I am really looking forward to becoming a part of ALBA Berlin,” he said, per the press release, ahead of his sixth EuroLeague season and first in Germany’s easyCredit BBL, “I have heard a lot about club history, fans, and the city of Berlin. I know ALBA develops players and I want to become one of those players.”
Zoosman emerged among the stars of Israel’s junior national teams before debuting with the senior squad in 2018. In 2019, he was not selected in the annual NBA draft.
ALBA has brought in fellow Israeli Tamir Blatt from a one-year loan. Also re-signed Maodo Lo, Johannes Thiemann, and Berliner Delow.
