Tyler Dorsey and Olympiacos have picked up the pace in their negotiations and the two sides are really close to a two-year deal which will include an NBA out next summer, according to Eurohoops sources. The talks are in the final stage and a positive answer from the player is expected by the Reds.
Olympiacos made a step forward by increasing the offer which should satisfy the player’s financial wishes. Dorsey can still wait for a last-minute NBA offer, however, the Greeks have set a deadline for the guard’s final answer. Dorsey has had interest from the US but hasn’t received the offer he was searching for so far.
Last season, before leaving Maccabi, Tyler Dorsey averaged 11.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in the Euroleague, and 11.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in the Israeli league.
With the deal being almost completed, it has to be noted that Dorsey who also has Greek citizenship due to his mother’s origin, will complete like a local player in the Greek league, leaving the door open for one more non-Greek signing in the roster of Olympiacos.
