Zalgiris and Real Madrid suffered losses while Panathinaikos, CSKA, and UNICS came out victorious in the most recent prep games

The preseason for EuroLeague teams continued with a few more matches including Zalgiris‘s clash against Lokomotiv Kuban which belonged to the latter with 88-87 on the scoreboard.

Errick McCollum was the deciding factor with his all-around performance of 23 points, seven assists, and four rebounds while shooting 50% from the field as well as from deep. Interestingly, he scored all of his points in the second half and topped it all of with a game-winner in the final seconds.

Jonathan Motley added 19 and Stanton Kidd 15 points. For Zalgiris, Emmanuel Mudiay banked in 21 points followed by Tyler Cavanaugh with 16 while Joffrey Lauvergne logged eight points, nine rebounds, five assists.

Aside from Zalgiris, another EuroLeague squad suffered a loss as UCAM Murcia grabbed an 84-80 win against Real Madrid in Trofeo Ciudad De Albacete. Real Madrid managed to bounce back from down 16 (65-49) at the end of the third quarter but it was too late to change the outcome.

Meanwhile, CSKA Moscow had an easy job against MBA on their way to a 107-59 win. Ivan Ukhov led the way with 15 points in addition to Nikola Milutinov’s 13 and Iffe Lundberg’s ten points.

UNICS was convincing as well in the 100-64 win versus the Russian team Rune. Mario Hezonja scored 22 while John Brown contributed with 15 and Andrey Vorontsevitch points.

Panathinaikos also got the job done with an 85-68 win against Peristeri which couldn’t hold on in the second half despite a 43-40 advantage at the break. Peristeri didn’t have Terran Petteway on the roster due to discomfort in his right hand.

As for Zeljko Obradovic‘s Partizan, they lost to Cibona 71-64.
