AS Monaco is adding guard Mike James to their bolstered roster for the 2021-22 season, as first reported by Home of Glory and Donatas Urbonas, also confirmed by Eurohoops sources.
James, 31, who recently parted ways with CSKA Moscow was on the lookout for a new team while training individually in Moscow in the meantime.
He will become the 13th overall signing for the ambitious project of Monaco, following the additions of Brock Motum, Alpha Diallo, Donatas Motiejunas, Donta Hall, Leo Westermann, Yakuba Ouattara, Ibrahima Fall Faye, Rudy Demahis, Paris Lee, Armel Traore, Jerry Boutsiele, and Danilo Andjusic.
James was the third-best scorer of the EuroLeague in the 2019-20 season with an average of 21.1 points per game. Last season, he posted 19.3 points per game, before exiting CSKA after 27 games. James finished the season with Brooklyn Nets, where he produced 7.7 points, 4.2 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 18.2 minutes across 13 regular-season contests and had 3.7 points per 11.4 in nine playoffs games.
