Former NBA big man Kenneth Faried arrived at Moscow to join the ranks of EuroLeague powerhouse and eight-time champion CSKA. The “NBA team of EuroLeague” as he previously described the Russian club.
Faried went on to explain how he first got acquainted with European basketball and how he enjoyed the experience so much that he was checking for a potential opportunity that would allow him to actually play in Europe.
“Ever since I’ve been able to play in the NBA I said ‘Hey, if I ever get the chance to play in Europe for one year or maybe a couple of months, I’m going to take that chance just to have fun and enjoy it,” Faried said. “Because it looks exciting.”
Faried, an NBA veteran of 496 games over eight seasons in the league with the Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets, signed a two-month contract with CSKA earlier in October. The deal includes an option for the rest of the season.
